The Swan Gallery has a wealth of antique works of art from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

We are situated in large prestigious premises in the beautiful and historic county town of Sherborne, Dorset, with its famous medieval Abbey and two castles, our Gallery's diverse collection has become a focus for collectors worldwide.

Simon Lamb has been dealing in watercolours and oil paintings for over 25 years. Kristina trained at Camberwell School of Art and has over 20 years of experience in the restoration of works on paper. We also provide the services of an outstanding restorer of oil painting. Christopher Lamb has also joined the family business.

There are watercolour and oil painting galleries, map and print shops, framing and restoration studios, but nowhere else in Britain to our knowledge will you find them all under one roof. The whole makes for an absorbing, edifying and educating experience not to be missed. Be sure to leave plenty of time to browse if you can!

We introduce new acquisitions of paintings in bi-annual exhibitions. Remember, all the stock represented here is original, not reproduction. Paintings, prints and maps are guaranteed by us to be as stated, and where painting authorship is uncertain, prefixes such as ‘circle of’, ‘after’, or ‘follower of’ are used (in the same fashion as auction rooms.)
