Benefits to Sherborne

The Sherborne Chamber of Trade supports the town by organising events during the year, for example the annual Festive Shopping Day each December and the decoration of the high street with Christmas Trees. In 2014 the Chamber of Trade organised a popular Independence Week event in July, encouraging people to support local Independent shops.

We are involved with a number of local groups and forums to improve life in Sherborne and work with both Sherborne Town Council and West District Dorset Council.

Membership of the Chamber brings many benefits, including priority registration at events, discounts and specials offered by other members, networking, the opportunity to promote your business, and more.

As well as playing your part in maintaining a thriving town, membership gives your business a voice on local issues. The Chamber is a valuable forum, and provides representation for businesses in the town on many issues, such as car parking rates and the future development of Sherborne.

We are keen to promote the town and local businesses wherever possible – through our website, newsletter and social media, such as Twitter (@SherborneCOT).

We hold regular meetings, and the business breakfasts are extremely popular.

Membership of the Chamber costs only £50 (plus VAT) per year.  Membership renewals are due in January, and should you wish to join during the year, a pro-rated fee will apply from after March.
