Sherborne is not only one of the most beautiful schools in the country, but it also offers an education of great depth and variety. We are a leading full boarding and day school for boys aged 3-13 year and attract boys who seek an all-round high-quality education based on Christian principles in an unparalleled environment. We aim to prepare our boys for the challenges and opportunities they will face after leaving school, by inspiring them and supporting boys to become the best versions of themselves.
We merged with Sherborne Prep in 2021 and are fortunate to be able to offer ‘the best of both worlds’ with a unique and collaborative partnership with Sherborne Girls, we are ‘separate, yet together’.
If you have never seen Sherborne, we recommend that you visit us, and we will be delighted to show you around.
Academically, the School averages the best examination results of any boys’ school in the West of England. We believe that every boy has the right to feel safe, happy and valued as an individual and the School gives the highest priority to pastoral care and has a supportive House system in which resident staff provide guidance and encouragement for the boys, alongside the support of their assigned tutor.
Sherborne is a full boarding school which provides a rich and varied life for its pupils seven days a week. Sherborne is an outward looking school which focuses on its pupils’ future lives. The Higher Education and Careers Department is a superbly equipped, purpose-built resource centre, manned by specially trained staff and open to boys and their parents every day in term time.
