Charterhouse holds regular monthly auctions of antiques, including furniture, ceramics and glass.

We hold special sales of collectors' items including militaria, coins, stamps, dolls and toys, and special sales of pictures, books, clocks, jewellery, silver, plate, decorative arts, wine and classic cars.

Items can be brought to the salerooms Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, or please call Barbara Benney at the saleroom on 01935 812277 to arrange for a free home visit. and one of our auctioneers will be happy to come and see more valuable or bulky items in your home. We also carry out valuations for Insurance and probate, please contact the office for our charges.

Announcement

We are delighted to announce John Snape has joined Charterhouse Auctioneers in Sherborne.
He joins Charterhouse as a senior valuer and auctioneer from Ewbanks in Surrey where he was a Partner and worked there from 2004.
John completed a degree in Fine Arts Valuation at Southampton and has been working as an auctioneer for the past 20 years.
One of John’s first tasks was to help catalogue the contents of a Devon country house, Summerfield House, Summer Lane in Exmouth which Charterhouse are selling on Wednesday 22nd July.
